Aplogies!

I managed to bulk email everyone the wrong email. I've had many replies asking what it all meant... well, it was just my mistake! Sorry! Anyway, the mailing list is up and running - email fraserlist-subscribe@bointon.com to join (if I haven't already added you!)

Still no mission

Heard from MSF today - still no mission. Surprisingly Sudan Darfur is still a possible, although given the situation I would expect that they are looking for experienced hands only. Guess it means I'll get some time to explore India and/or Thailand/Cambodia/Laos.

New mail server

Finally got a new mail server today - does not change any of my old addresses, but at least it won't expire in a few weeks, which my old server is likely to to. It also means I get server side spam filtering - vital for accessing email down slow internet connections from developing countries. Another thing this non-expiring server has enabled, is setting up some links, for example http://www.pefe.co.uk/blog will get you here. Bookmark it now!

Not sure what formats are going to be most useful for staying in touch: Blog, mailling list, bulk cc'ed email etc etc. I think they might all have a place, so for the moment I'm setting up all of them and we'll find out how they get used. If you want to be on a mailing list, email me, or leave a comment below.

Moving on out

The flat is half packed, most loose ends are tied up, and by this time next week I'll be a nomad. Actually February is looking quite busy already - on the 5th I'm off to Spain, returning two weeks later from Amsterdam. Not yet sure how I get between the two - maybe via my sister in the south of France. Contact details: My various email addresses should still work - the newest one which I have been using recently is the one that has the best webmail client and spam filtering, so I expect that will be checked most often. My mobile will stay the same too - and remember that text messages are much cheaper than voice messages when roaming. Many friends - most in fact - have offered me floor/bed space while I'm waiting in the UK. Hopefully this won't be too long, but I'm looking forward to being able to drop in and catch up with people. Thanks for Marcus for hosting my blog and mailing lists.
