Super-Blogs

Had some fun getting various wizzy things to work - the comment system works well, Marcus solved the permissions bug that was stopping my referrer's list working and I've just spent some time showing Wendy how to customise her blog. Nice colours!!! Off to Spain again on Tuesday, so email and texts will be the order of the day. Not sure when I'll return, but it will probably be via Holland again. More stroopwaffels anyone?

My mate Paul points out that the world and his dog are starting blogs these days. I've not found any canine blogs yet, but I can't say I've been looking. He also asks:
You really went mountain biking in Holland?
No, it was Germany.... just. A village only a few km from Udo's parents house has a high street with different types of lamp posts on either side of the road. I bet those residents were happy when the Euro arrived. I just wonder how long the Dutch language (the funny sounding one, the one that foreigners rarely get to hear) will last. I didn't hear much evidence of it in Amsterdam!
Who's Anne Frank? Does she have a blog?
Sadly not, although I'm sure she would have done had she had access to the internet.

Another great party at Wendy's. More snaps at http://www.pefe.co.uk/pancakes/
Such tallented friends!
[EDIT: Karen (the one on the right) now has a blog too... where will it all end?] [EDIT2: Changed link to point at Karen, not Wendy!]

If anyone has yet to discover my friend Mad's blog, the link is on the right... her latest posts on internet dating are a must read. The great thing is, she often updates her blog several times a day - Mad is a teacher, so has loads of spare time :-) :-) :-) Just today Wendy has followed Mad's considerable lead and has openned a blog of her own. Welcome oh nearly-ginger one! PS - The answer to the usual "Where is Fraser today?" question: Balham, Gateway to the South, staying with Sandeep and Pam

And back in Bristol

I'm back. Two very nice weeks, catching up with friends, eating a lot of great food and enjoying the wonderful public transport systems that we don't have in the UK.

Since I didn't put any captions, these include: Barcelona maritime museum, the view from the breakfast table, Port Vell, Allie Wharf, some Miro, a bit of early morning Gaudi, a disused power station in Germany, the smallest church in Holland, Udo and Tamara, a bit of Utrecht and automatic piano with three violins.

... and from Germany

Actually I'm typing this in Utrecht, but I was in Germany on Saturday... mountain biking on 75 metre high hills. In and out of Amsterdam - Friday to visit Anne Frank's house and Artsen zonder Grenzen (MSF Holland). Interesting to contrast the two - one hoping that such genocide would never be repeated, the other dealing with the reality every day. Popped back into Amsterdam yesterday night with my host Udo to see George Duke in concert at the Paradiso. Should be back in Bristol on Tuesday evening.

... and now Holland.

And I'm now in France - a quick visit to see my sister, then up to Holland tomorrow. Spent the afternoon helping someone set up their iMac and the evening setting up a wireless network. Some holiday!
